Core argument: a late Ming leishu proves that ‘Heaven’s center’ knowledge is a collage of classical, historical, and marvel materials organized for retrieval—authority comes from breadth of citation and topical order. It argues that understanding the world is indexing: names, places, anomalies, and arts become usable only when cross-filed.
1) Build personal BaZi case indices by topic (marriage, illness, wealth) like leishu entries. 2) When stuck on a chart, open parallel ‘entries’: classical rule, historical analog, folk case. 3) Treat strange chart phenomena as 天中记-style data, then seek pattern frequency. 4) Practice citation hygiene: every technique tagged by source period. 5) Use ‘center of Heaven’ as a metaphor for the chart’s balance point (middle qi / mediator stem).
Compared with 太平御览, it is later, denser with Ming interests and marvels, less purely imperial-bureaucratic. Compared with pure fiction collections, it still claims encyclopedic utility rather than story art alone.
