Trong Đạo tạng thường đề Bắc Đế thuyết hoạt lạc thất nguyên kinh (chính bộ). Mượn lời Bắc Đế/thất chân nói về bùa hoạt lạc thất nguyên, đàn Bắc Đẩu, nhiên đăng, chương biểu để tiêu ma, trấn tà, diên sinh. Gắn Bắc Đế–Phong Đô–thất nguyên tinh thần.

Tức Bắc đế thuyết khoát lạc thất nguyên kinh (Chính nhất / Thượng thanh giao thoa). «Khoát lạc thất nguyên» = nhật nguyệt ngũ tinh / Bắc đẩu thất nguyên tinh quân. Bắc đế (La Phong) chủ sinh tử tịch; thất chân dạy lập tinh xá, thất nguyên đàn, nhiên cửu đăng, đới phù, tồn Hoa cái cửu tinh. Sơ tam–nhị thập thất Bắc đế giáng, kiếu tế diên mệnh ích toán. Pháp: nhiên đăng hành đạo, thượng chương, trấn thất bảo thần phù, «điều tinh bát đẩu, phi bộ thất nguyên». Trừ ma, trị bệnh, trấn quốc, giải khảo tụng.

The text proves that mortality crises, epidemics, and demonic harassment are administrative and stellar: the Northern Emperor and Seven Yuan control life-death registers, so unblocking, lamp-ritual, and invocation of the seven luminaries can rewrite misfortune at the level of cosmic registry, not only psychology.

It differs from pure astrology by adding petitionary rite, and from pure exorcism by tying results to lifespan calculation (益算/解厄) rather than only expulsion.
