Bảo sám thuộc Động Chân bộ, mượn lời Thái Thượng dạy nam nữ quan pháp thân sám hối túc oan vãng nghiệp. Lễ năm mươi vị Ngọc Thanh Thiên Tôn để tiêu tai tạ tội, mong đăng chân, danh ghi kim cách. Là sám nghi cầu chứng đạo chứ không chỉ cầu phước thế gian.

唐宋洞真部威儀類懺本，與上清禳災延壽、太清拔罪昇天合成「三清寶懺」組。太上曰：奉道志誠若不懺夙冤往業，終不得位列玉庭、名標金格。懺法：像前設香花時果旛燈，歸依玉清聖境及普慈護世諸天尊聖號（約五十位），詳懺殺盜婬、妄語綺言兩舌惡罵、貪嗔癡十惡業，各述見在果報與地獄畜生循環，強調「今對聖前，咸悉懺悔」。目標雙重：濟拔九祖、福後嗣，並自致登真。義理近靈寶滅罪而定位於玉清登真。
