Kinh cực ngắn (~100 chữ), chia ba chương Chân Không – Huyền Lý – Huyền Diệu, từ phong gần Thanh Tịnh Kinh nhưng độc lập. Nói về tiên thiên vô hình, hậu thiên vô thể, tĩnh là tính, động là tâm; hướng tới “đại thông” huyền diệu bất khả tư nghị. Có chú của Lý Đạo Thuần (Thái Thượng Đại Thông Kinh chú), chứng minh vị thế kinh điển nhỏ trong toàn chân / nội đan.

撰人不详，疑系唐宋道流所作，词旨近《清静经》。一卷，仅百余字，收入《正统道藏》洞玄部本文类。分真空、玄理、玄妙三章加偈。真空章论道体先天无形、后天无体；玄理章论静性动心、心灭性现如空无相；玄妙章论大道无象、真性无为，对境忘境、居尘出尘，致静不动、慧照十方。偈曰：「有法悟无法，无修解有修。包含万象体，不罣一丝头。」为高度浓缩的心性本体论短经。

The scripture proves that all separate teachings, bodies, and destinies are local expressions of one Great Penetration (大通); fragmentation of practice therefore stems from mistaking provisional names for ultimate division. It argues that when mind recognizes its continuity with the Dao’s unobstructed flow, barriers of self/other and life/death lose ontological weight. Salvation is not relocation to another realm but realization that no genuine blockage ever existed.

When clients feel blocked by fate, reframe blockage as fixation on a partial reading of the whole pattern. 3. Cultivate daily: breathe as if inner and outer qi already communicate without effort. 4. Cross-check multiple systems (BaZi, medical, ethical) as mutually permeable, not hierarchically exclusive. 5. Use '通' as a diagnostic: if a practice isolates the self further, it has failed the Great Penetration test.
Compared with Guanmiao jing’s focus on emptying the act of observation, Daotong jing argues for ontological continuity of all that is observed. Compared with Cantong qi’s laboratory-like correlations of hexagrams, fire phases, and body, this text is more soteriological and less technical: it proves non-obstruction as a metaphysical fact that licenses all skillful means.
