This short scripture proves that liberation is ‘great penetration’ (大通): the mind’s full openness in which barriers between self and Dao dissolve, not accumulation of merits or external powers. It argues that obstruction is cognitive-existential closure, so the path is progressive unblocking until free circulation of the Dao through the person. Realization is defined as unimpeded pervasion, not visionary spectacle.
1) In BaZi, locate ‘blockages’ as stuck ten-god patterns (e.g., heavy seals smothering output) and design practices that reopen circulation. 2) Meditation: sit for free-flow awareness without gripping states. 3) Daily: notice where speech, breath, or decision-making clamps; release one clamp. 4) Use luck-pillar shifts as times when previously closed chart channels can open. 5) Prefer methods that increase permeability (forgiveness, simplicity, breath) over forceful ‘breakthrough’ imagery when fire is already excessive.
Compared with 定观经, which details stages of calming and insight, 大通经 states the end-state criterion: penetration itself. It is less moralistic than 百病百药经 and less administrative than 功过格. Its logic is soteriological-minimalist: open, and the Dao passes.
