Zheng Sixiao proves that universal salvation of wandering souls is impossible without the officiant’s own internal refinement: external liturgy is empty form unless yin-yang in the operator’s body is first restored to Dao. The work thus establishes a causal priority—self-alchemy before other-salvation—turning jilian from spectacle into a strict moral-energetic law.
1) Before any ancestor/ghost work timed by BaZi death-day or 7th-month cycles: complete a personal quieting and yang-raising practice (breath, stillness, heart purity). 2) Map the deceased’s chart for cold-damp or weak fire patterns; design jilian timing on days that support the officiant’s yang, not only the calendar festival. 3) Use the text’s sequence as checklist: break obstruction → call → feed → refine → precept → send; never skip refine for spectacle. 4) After ritual, audit own body-mind state; if depleted, the method was externalized wrongly. 5) Teach clients that ‘helping the dead’ begins with regulating one’s own five phases.
Unlike standard Lingbao shidu liturgies that emphasize scriptural power and multi-stage public ceremony, this text collapses the chain into a portable rite whose authority is the operator’s neifa. It differs from pure neidan manuals by keeping other-salvation as the telos, and from purely moral Buddhist feeding rites by insisting on Daoist yin-yang physiology as the causal medium.
