Dongshen practice is sovereignty through identification with multiple divine wills in order.

Dongshen 'god multiplicity' differs from Taiqing alchemy's furnace unity and Lingbao's universal salvation liturgy. Compared with 九真, eight emperors are more sovereign-administrative than intimate body-true gods of Shangqing.
